Coding for Kids
Courses around ‘Coding for Kids’ are designed to expose young minds (Ideally between 8 to 16 years old) to the limitless potential in the Software Engineering domain. First, we get our kids to fall in love with the infinite possibilities that learning to code offers. Kids will start their journey of understanding the basic concepts of programming by using visual programming tools such as Scratch, Code.org, and Minecraft; while working on fun and innovative projects as they learn on the go. Then they will gradually be introduced to syntax-based coding languages such as C++, Python, and JavaScript. Not only will they learn these languages but also they will work with industry-specific tools and technologies like Github, Docker, Azure, and AWS.
Kids Coding Journey
At Meu Labs, we believe in making your child a T-shaped learner. Therefore, our fundamental level coding sessions will be coupled with activities from other domains such as Robotics, 3D-design, Video editing and Decision making. This will help your child to learn core concepts of coding while understanding how different disciplines interconnect with each other. Your child will go deeper into the domain of software engineering as they move through our ecosystem towards learning paths and specialisations.

FAQ
Coding provides your child with some of the most in-demand skills of the twenty-first century. It aids in the development of young learners’ critical thinking abilities while also providing them with the opportunity to solve problems creatively. Coding is the best way for your child to develop computational thinking, as they will analyse problems, break them down into smaller tasks, and solve problems while learning new skills. Coding will help your child’s brain development during their middle childhood years. It would undoubtedly be beneficial to their academic performance as well as their future career.
You can introduce your child to coding by teaching them visual programming tools. It will help them understand basic coding principles and will pique their interest in coding. Some of the most popular tools that a child can use to begin learning to code are Scratch, Code.org, and Minecraft. After your child has grasped the fundamentals of programming, you can gradually introduce them to syntax-based languages such as C, C++, Python, and Javascript.
If you’re looking for a structured programme to teach your child to code, look into Meu Labs’ coding courses.
There is no right answer to the question of when a child can start learning to code. Most kids can easily start learning when they are 7 years old or above. But some kids start learning to code much earlier when they are as young as 4 years old. In the early childhood days, you can give toys to kids which help them understand coding. Gradually they can be exposed to visual coding platforms and then to syntax-based programming
