Coding for Kids

Courses around ‘Coding for Kids’ are designed to expose young minds (Ideally between 8 to 16 years old) to the limitless potential in the Software Engineering domain. First, we get our kids to fall in love with the infinite possibilities that learning to code offers. Kids will start their journey of understanding the basic concepts of programming by using visual programming tools such as Scratch, Code.org, and Minecraft; while working on fun and innovative projects as they learn on the go. Then they will gradually be introduced to syntax-based coding languages such as C++, Python, and JavaScript. Not only will they learn these languages but also they will work with industry-specific tools and technologies like Github, Docker, Azure, and AWS.

Kids Coding Journey

At Meu Labs, we believe in making your child a T-shaped learner. Therefore, our fundamental level coding sessions will be coupled with activities from other domains such as Robotics, 3D-design, Video editing and Decision making. This will help your child to learn core concepts of coding while understanding how different disciplines interconnect with each other. Workerbee game was given to kids and they created automated controls for the vessel of workerbee.

In this puzzle, kids completed 12 levels of block coding in Code.Org, and created their own Minecraft games.

Autopilot Rocket game controls on Scratch

Rocket game is built and given to the kids to make controls for the Rocketship. They included missile guns in the Rocketship and automated the controls to detect asteroids coming their way and shoot the missiles to destroy the asteroids.

Dance party activity gave the kids an opportunity to be creative and make their own dance party with their favorite music and charactors.

Temperature Sensor

In this puzzle, the kids learn how to make a circuit which detects their temperature by touching a temperature sensor. Once the sensor is touched the LED bulb will brighten up.
